Sam Shepard (innate November 5, 1943) is an American playwright, writer and actor.

He was natural Samuel Shepard Rogers IV around Fort Sheridan, Illinois. His numerous works come known for existence frank & typically absurd, & for with an authentic feel of the style and sensibility of the gritty modern American west. Shepard is too the respected actor of stage & motion pictures.

His play Buried Kid received the Pulitzer Prize in 1979; other luminary act includes Curse of the Starving Class in 1978, True West in 1980 and A Lie of the Mind in 1985. He too collaborated by using Bob Dylan on an epic song entitled Brownsville Girl, involved on the 1986 Knocked Out Loaded album and late compilations.

Inside 1986, Shepard was elected to The American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Shepard was antecedently married to actress O-Lan Jones (born O-Lan Barna) from either 1969 to 1984, by whom he has of these little one. He has accept Oscar-winning actress Jessica Lange for many years, & it use at times 2 tikes together.
